After a lot of hardships and adventures, the young Siyu realizes that what seemed good luck was perhaps bad luck and what seemed bad luck perhaps was not. The story of the lost horse of the wise old man is a fable that teaches us that everything is relative and that things are “of the colour of the glass we look through”. What appears to be a big misfortune may finally be a lucky event, and vice versa. Rooted in the Taoist tradition, this short story is today as delightful and up-to-date as 3000 years ago.
